We’ve looked into some of the biggest Christmas hits to find out a little bit more about them and how they came to be so impactful.
Mariah Carey recorded the vocals for ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ in a music studio in August that had been dressed head to toe in festive decorations to get the star in the holiday spirit. The track has reportedly earnt Carey over $60m, so it seems like the commitment paid off.
Meanwhile, the vocals for Slade’s festive hit ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’ were recorded in the corridor of the music studio after the band decided it gave them the echo sound they wanted.
