Helping Wales Turn the Corner on Public Transport

Keolis is a world leader in public transport systems, but it is no exaggeration to say that their operation in Wales was by far their most challenging one, having taken on the legacy of a contract which just didn’t work for passengers. In just two years, KeolisAmey Wales, working alongside Transport for Wales, have managed to turn the corner on this operation and deliver the changes Wales so desperately needs.
Recent achievements included a complete overhaul of the Welsh transport timetable – the most comprehensive in the last 30 years – which improved the efficiency and consistency of services. KeolisAmey also upgraded and refurbished the train fleet and made Welsh trains and stations more accessible, clean and appealing.
Trains have now become safer, with the introduction of gold-standard wheel slide protection, which helps to minimize flat tire issues and the number of accidents caused by adverse weather conditions.
