On all these platforms, posts containing images were more successful on the engagement front. Image posts garnered eleven, five, and three times more interactions than those containing video or text on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter respectively.
In 2017, the hospitality industry posted the most about Thanksgiving. The highest engagement, however, was garnered by retail and consumer electronics brands for their posts focusing on discounts, special offers, and family-related themes.
