Our generation may already be living in the future, but there’s nothing we need more than a serving of old wisdom, in the form of Benjamin Franklin’s words:
“”By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.””
A longer version of that would look like this: If you want to be successful in anything you do, make sure to plan your steps before taking them.
If you run a business or two, then that holds especially true. Planning allows you to see a big-picture version of what you’re trying to accomplish, and to also zoom in on the details so you can make the right decisions moving forward.
And if a plan fails, then at least you know what doesn’t work, and you can use that knowledge to create a better plan the next time around.
