A Simple Guide to Instagram Hashtag

This design was concepted and designed by Jimmy Yablonski for Kona Company. The inspiration came from finding many other infographics on hashtags and social media in general that merely gave statistics. I wanted to create something that gave a simple how-to that would be useful for those in the digital marketing space. I tried to design the infographic with bright Instagram-themed colors and graphics to reflect the fun-loving nature of social media. I broke it into sections so that someone with no prior knowledge of using hashtags could easily digest short snippets to become more proficient at using them to communicate their message. With this infographic, I tried to focus on not wasting any words and making the experience fun for the viewer. Adding vignettes or memes can really break up the text to create a more natural flow of conversation. I hope you enjoy my design and please share or offer feedback!
