The Most Searched Types of Furniture on Google

Online furniture store, Maple Furniture has carried out some research which reveals the top 15 most popular furniture items searched for online.

It appears that wardrobes are the most searched for item of furniture, with 310,000 monthly searches in the UK — this is 11% of the total number of furniture searches. Perhaps, given the year we have just been through, many more people are shopping online for clothes and buying more than they normally would, giving rise to the need for bigger wardrobes.

Armchairs are the least searched for item of furniture — but this may be because some people search for “chairs”, rather than “armchairs” specifically.

Grey is clearly a big winner when it comes to sofa colour choice. Given grey’s popularity in recent years within interior design circles and the public at large, there can be no denying that this colour will continue to trend for a good while yet.

Red is the least searched for sofa colour, which is perhaps not surprising given its intensity and the fact that it simply wouldn’t complement most people’s interior design style.
