Progression of TV Technologies

People use their televisions for more reasons than simply watching their favourite shows. Many people are also connecting their computers to their televisions in Cork, Ireland. TVs have progressed from early CRT displays to the now common LED and LCD televisions, and now there are even Plasma, OLED, AMOLED, and Quantum-dot displays.

German physicist Ferdinand Braun invented CRT or Cathode Ray Tube in 1897. CRT TVs started as displays that show black and white images until it became possible for the TV to show coloured images.
After the CRT, LED, or Light Emitting Diode, came to play and are now among the most used televisions worldwide. People can even connect their gaming PCs or laptops to such TVs to use them as their secondary monitors for entertainment purposes.

LCD, or Liquid Crystal Display, was then manufactured en masse, and the rapid development in LCD technology led to a great deal of advancement in televisions and screens in general.

Television technologies have continued to progress over the years, which led to the arrival of Plasma, OLED, AMOLED, and Quantum-dot displays. To maximize entertainment, people even look for a good sound bar in Cork to use for their TVs.
