Travel the U.S.

Americans love to travel (and not just abroad, but also right at home within the continental U.S.). This infographic explores great travel facts and statistics regarding U.S. travel. For example, the U.S. has approximately 5,200 different airports within the nation. Do you know the best days to buy an airline ticket? Surprisingly it’s on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Friday and Sunday are actually the worst days. Going one step further and the cheapest times to fly somewhere are during lunch, the dinner hours, at down and (of course) red-eyes. Regarding trains, Amtrak is the largest train company. They serve over 500 destinations in 46 states. Every day, close to 85,000 passengers ride more than 300 Amtrak trains. And if you want to travel somewhere, such as one of the National Parks, you’ll be surprised to know that there are a total of 58 national parks. Over 307 million people visited them in 2015 alone.
