This infographic visualises data from a survey into whether people feel that their time at university was worth the time and money they invested in it.
The survey split results by gender, age, and area of the UK and asked respondents about the impact that going to university had had on their careers, personal relationships and academic experiences.
The survey produced some fascinating results.
Men were generally more likely to report that their university experience had had a more positive impact on their careers than women. However 33% of women cited the fact that they had had the opportunity to study a subject they are interested in as a benefit of going to university compared to just 26% of men.
Younger people were more likely than older respondents to feel that going to university had helped them build professional connections.
People in the South of England were the most likely to feel that going to university had helped them secure a career they wouldn’t have been able to get otherwise.
