What is the best tourist attraction in the world?

From the Golden Gate Bridge to the Pyramids of Giza, determining the world’s best tourist attraction isn’t easy when they each have so much to offer in the way of one-of-a-kind experiences. But by analysing the top 25 tourist attractions in the world, leading UK cruise specialists ROL Cruise has determined which tourism hotspot has taken first place.
By scoring each attraction in a range of categories including entry price, number of Instagram hashtags, average online review and opening hours, ROL Cruise was able to determine that Machu Picchu was the highest scoring of the 25, taking the title of the best tourist attraction in the world.
The attractions that followed were Niagara Falls, Christ the Redeemer, the Golden Gate Bridge and Victoria Falls, respectively. ROL Cruise speculate that this is because they aren’t manned and can be visited around the clock. Commercialised attractions, even those with a natural, historic or cultural importance, seemingly ranked lower due to higher entry prices and/or limited opening hours.
