Young Stroke Awareness

If you are under the age of 18, what do you think your chances are of getting a stroke? Zero? 1 in a million? What if I told you that for every 100,000 under 18 year olds, 11 of them will have a stroke? Strokes are commonly associated with old age, but most people don’t realize that anyone can have a stroke at any period of their life. A stroke can cause a life altering disability, especially if it is not immediately recognized and treated. Educate yourself about the signs and symptoms of stroke so that you can recognize one before it is too late.
