The Quest for the Ultimate Customer Checkout Experience features six different grocery store checklane configurations that include Scan & Pass, Power Takeaway, Carousel w/Express, Carousel w/Self-Checkout, Power Takeaway w/Express, and High Volume Lane with Self-Checkout & Carousel. Each configuration lists how much merchandising space would be available and how many employees would be needed to operate each configuration at 100% staff. The gondola size for the center store is the same for each configuration so that users can see how many checklanes would be needed in each situation. Each layout is based on the same weekly sales for consistency. A voting feature is enabled so that users can vote for what they believe is the best grocery store front-end layout. After submitting the vote, users will immediately see all results.
