Automotive CMOS Sensors: Why it’s Better than CCD Sensors?

In recent years, both the public and industrial sectors have started to notice a sudden fall in the prices of digital imaging solutions available in the market. This decline in production and demand made some people to believe that the introduction of cost-effective components in the camera like image sensors is the leading cause behind such changes.
Since the emergence of the CMOS (which stands for Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) image sensors, its affordability easily became the milestone in the history of camera and film industry. And the main reason is that it greatly improved some features especially in the aspect of the camera’s low-light performance.
Meanwhile, its predecessor the CCD is now slowly being overshadowed due to certain reasons that make CMOS s basically the new creme de la creme of all image sensors today.
